MAT Support Group with Flagler OARS

About the Event
An essential part of any Medication Assisted Therapy program, MAT, is to find support systems to help you in the recovery process. It’s important to be with people who understand your reasons for including MAT in your own recovery. Because many anonymous groups advocate for total abstinence, the use of medication to overcome an opioid addiction can be hard for some people to accept, yet support is a vital part of SUD recovery and wherever it’s found — counseling, anonymous groups, church, family or community resources — it’s important that it works for you. You may have encountered stigma throughout the recovery community because you are using medication to assist in your recovery. Some people likely don’t understand how the medication works and haven’t seen the miraculous recovery of thousands of people who used medication. Through Flagler OARS MAT Support, you will find a group of supporters who you can trust, be open with and who will be there through your MAT recovery journey. Join us every Wednesday at noon. 145 Cypress Point Parkway, Unit 101 Call our Certified Recovery Peer Specialist, Danielle Moye, for more information. 386.233.3444, or just show up!
